What I count when you visit
I use Google Analytics to see how people find and use this site. When you open a page, it records which page you looked at, roughly where you are (a city or country, worked out from your internet address), and what kind of device and browser you're using. It doesn't give me your name or your email.
To do this, Google Analytics uses cookies: small files your browser keeps so it can tell a return visit from a first one.
When you ask me something
On the Ask me page, the question you type goes to MemberPress.ai so I can answer it. This site doesn't keep your questions. MemberPress.ai's privacy notice covers what happens to them there.
When you play a song
The song pages remember how far you got, so you can pick up where you left off. That's saved in your own browser, on your device, and it's never sent to me.
Other places your browser talks to
The site runs on Cloudflare. To show my pages, your browser also loads fonts from Google Fonts, and the interactive song stages load some code from unpkg.com. Like any website, they see your internet address when your browser asks for those files.
Links to YouTube, X and MemberPress.ai take you to their sites, and their own privacy policies apply there.
How to turn the counting off
- Install Google's Google Analytics opt-out add-on for your browser.
- Or block or clear cookies in your browser's settings. The site works the same either way.
